My good friend Cheddar 'Chad' Cheesby was kind enough to refurbish my website.  It was looking very last century he said – graphics could be larger now everyone's on broadband.  We've only had broadband here six months, said I.  He chortled and said it proved his point.

Chad is prone to eccentricity and I had to insist he stuck to the original site colours and to hold firm to my way of doing things.  However, he's twisted my arm and got me to put a mug-shot on the website – but, as you can see, we came to a compromise of sorts.

I can't play any instrument, let alone a mandolin.  It's a patio-decoration, and it makes a good winter home for my dormice.

My old friend Rufus was daft enough to let me loose on his ancient website, Selected English Folk Singers.  That was after his memory was jogged into realising that Folk Music's alive and well and living at BBC TV Channel Four.

My immediate suggestions of a neat 'FLASH' intro and some e-shopping facilities were dismissed out of hand, and I've just been allowed to potter around on the edges, so to speak, and, no Rufus, I haven't changed your colours.

Ha!  Little does he know I've snuck-in a 'hidden track'.  If Kate Rusby can get away with it so can I.  Rufus'll never get around to reading this so he won't ever know.  The hidden page is here.
